Reference Sites

The first stop for any Chris-Craft enthusiast or restorer has to be The Mariners’ Museum. The Mariners’ Museum has in their permanent collection, Chris-Craft: An American Dream. The archive of Chris-Craft Industries was also acquired by the Museum in 1986. Comprising more than 350 linear feet of records, this collection is considered one of the most complete histories of a boatbuilding company. The collection covers all models produced by Chris-Craft from 1922 through 1980 and consists of boat equipment records, photographs, plans, and literature.

For a nominal research fee the Mariners’ Museum will put together a comprehensive package on your boat. All you need to do is supply your Hull Number.

Antique & Classic Boat Society

The ACBS has chapters from coast-to-coast. If you are interested in networking with other classic boat enthusiasts, the Antique & Classic Boat Society is a good place to start.

Chris-Craft Antique Boat Club

The Chris-Craft Antique Boat Club is the flagship antique and classic boat club—the oldest in continuous existence and club publication. The Club has a web site, publishes a quarterly newsletter The Brass Bell, and also hosts an email discussion group available to club members.
