19' Custom
The
rarest of the 19' Customs
is the 1942 model. There were no styling differences
between the ’41 and ’42. By this period Chris-Craft
was turning all production over to military projects.
The last 19' Barrelback rolled out of the Algonac plant
on April 23rd 1942.
And so ended the four year run of one of the industries
most enduring designs. Through my research I have been
able to document 58 boats from 1941 and 1942.
That’s 43%— surprisingly good considering a total
production of only 135.
